U9-U13 Camps: $195* + RMCC membership/insurance

Parent Volunteers:
We rely on the support of parents to make this program a success.  Parents are needed to assist the coaches and riders in the U7 and U9 camps, and we encourage parents of riders in these age groups to volunteer for one session per camp. Parents of riders in the U11-U13 camps are welcome to join for any sessions they wish, provided their riding level is at, or above, that of the group. All parent volunteers require club membership/insurance. A free one-day membership is offered for parents who are not already club members.

Please Note:
We require each participant to have a well-fitting helmet free of damage/cracks/dents and a mountain bike of suitable size that is in good working condition. Bikes must have hand brakes (not pedal/coaster brakes). The helmet must be a cycling-specific helmet with CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) approval. Full face helmets are not appropriate. Some sessions may need to be cancelled or shortened due to weather. The camps take place in Canmore, mostly at Canmore Nordic Centre.

Riders in the Spring Revolution or All Mountain Program (AMP) can take advantage of a $25 registration discount* for our Summer Camps! Email us for the discount code before registering and get ready to ride even more!

Bike Tykes U7 (born 2011/12)
*must be 5 years old by first day of program.

Participants will cover neutral position, mounting/dismounting, braking, shifting, climbing, descending, falling, choosing a line, carrying a bike, weight distribution, cornering, obstacles and trail etiquette.

Pedal Punks U11 (born 2007/08)
These “punks” will be thrilled as they begin to master the basic skills while continuing to develop their technical abilities. Some of the skills covered in this program include neutral position, mounting/dismounting, braking, shifting, climbing, descending, falling, choosing a line, carrying a bike, weight distribution, cornering and ratcheting, obstacles, straight line riding, front wheel lifts and roll downs.

Chain Gang U13 (born 2005/06)
Quickly covering the basics of mountain biking, the Chain Gang will spend the majority of its time refining trail technique and aptitude. Some of the skills covered in this program include neutral position, mounting/dismounting, braking, shifting, climbing, descending, falling, choosing a line, carrying a bike, weight distribution, cornering and ratcheting, obstacles, straight line riding, front and rear wheel lifts, roll downs, manuals and wheelie drops.
