The 2015 Tour de Bowness was a scorcher!
+30 degree heat, fast and furious racing!
Club President, James Kendal had the following to say about the road race, “There is a crop of extremely talented and very intelligent juniors coming up the ranks in Alberta road racing and I certainly hope the ABA takes notice of them and gives them the extra support they need . It was interesting yesterday to see that RMCC went on the defensive again throughout the first half of the road race as we had numbers but in hindsight would should have either hung back until climb 2 up Horse Creek (as planned) or gone on the offensive from the gun. The eventual winner of the race sat incognito until the decisive move. Needless to say, I am really impressed with their tactical savvy and combativeness in the first half of the race. In the end, working your butt off chasing and being on defense doesn’t win races”.
