Newbies to shredders – our 5-week Spring Programs have got you covered!
New for 2018, our combined spring programs will offer three riding groups for each program where our professionally-certified coaches will work on skills suited to each group.
- Beginner level riders (MTB 101) will work on the fundamental skills of balance and body position, efficient shifting, proper gearing and braking, climbing, descending, going over obstacles, cornering, and front wheel lifts. Our list of riding areas will include trails at the Nordic Centre like Get In Get Out, Soft Yogurt, FYI, EKG; and other fun beginner trails in Canmore such as Horseshoe, Montane, and Mosquito Bite.
- Intermediate level riders (MTB 201) will refine the fundamentals, as wells as learn more wheel lifts, high speed cornering and tight turning technique, take climbing and descending to more challenging terrain, dynamic riding, pumping and carrying speed, straight-line riding and skinnies. Our list of riding areas will include trails at the Nordic Centre like Soft Yogurt, EKG, Intimidator; and other great intermediate level trails in Canmore such as Highline, Dinner Loop, and Quebexican.
- Advanced level riders (MTB 301) will take it to the next level on all-mountain terrain — we will be riding tricky climbs, techie descents, getting air and more speed. Our list of riding areas will include trails at the Nordic Centre like Terminator, Black Coal Chutes, Devonian Drop; and other areas of the Bow Valley like Topp Notch, Prospector, Reclaimer, and more.
There will be lots of opportunity to put your new and improved shredding skills into action on our local singletrack trails!

Wednesdays, May 9 – June 6 from 6:15 to 8:45 pm
Intermediate & Advanced 5-Week Program – Canmore
Wednesdays, June 13 – July 11 from 6:15 to 8:45 pm
Cost $250* + RMCC membership/insurance
*All participants will receive an awesome RMCC jersey included in the program fee. Wicked deal!

Register for any two multi-session programs (such as the 5-Week Program, MTB 101 or MTB 201 Weekend Camp, or Downhill Camp) and receive a $25* discount. Or register for a multi-session program and receive a $10 discount for a Skill Session! Email us for the discount code before registering and get ready to ride more! *Riders do not receive the RMCC program swag with the second program registration.
All participants require a mountain bike (either front or dual suspension) in good working condition and a helmet. Bike gloves are strongly recommended. Come prepared for all weather conditions, as we will not let the rain stop us.
