Do you want to improve your confidence, bike maneuvering and technical ability? Then the RMCC Men’s Skill Sessions are for you!
Now offered for men by popular demand – the RMCC Skill Sessions are for intermediate or advanced riders who are comfortable on trails like Highline, Soft Yogurt and EKG. Riders registering for these session should be confident on their bike and be proficient with braking, riding in control and riding uneven terrain. Skill Session Dates & Descriptions
Jumps & Drops
June 19 (wed) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm or July 11 6:30-8:30 (co-ed)
Learn a variety of bike maneuvers that will help you feel the rush of some wheel air time while building confidence and bike handling skills. Rad rider and coach Jeff Amirault will start you off with rolling small drops, learning several wheel lifts and build up to larger drops and table top jumps. All this will be done in a local Canmore bike park.
A full suspension bike is recommended for this session (front suspension a must). Arm pads and knee pads are also recommended but not required. Participants must have flat pedals and flat shoes on for this session.
Intro to Bunnyhops
July 8 (mon) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm (co-ed)
Want to get more pop, hop and play out of your ride? Join Coach Jeff Amirault, rad bike skills guru, for this session to get your wheel lifts amped! Coach Jeff will build from front wheel lifts into manuals and bunnyhops with step-by-step coaching. Then we’ll take it to the trail to put the new skills into action. Note: this session is open to men & women.

Can ride downhill but want more confidence in picking your line and controlling your bike while still keeping your speed? Join the awesome Kevin Eaton to learn the skills you need to improve your riding. Kevin runs the All Mountain Program (AMP) and is a highly skilled coach. You will ride away from this program with a new confidence and some new skills to practice.
Cornering with Speed/Confidence
June 25 (tues) from 6:15-8:45 PM
Not sure where your body or bike should be when riding the berms? Put the breaks on instead of keeping your speed? Struggle with confidently taking sharp corners with drops? Join Kevin Eaton…Enduro rider and technical guru, to learn about proper body and bike position and increase your speed and confidence when riding berms, corners with drops etc.
Cost $55 for 2 hour sessions and $60 for 2.5 hour sessions* + RMCC membership/insurance
All participants require a mountain bike in (either front or dual suspension) good, working condition and a helmet. Bike gloves are strongly recommended. Come prepared for changing weather conditions, as we will not let the rain stop us!
