Love road riding? Want to improve your skills, your fitness and do some racing?
Road Warriors is for those riders age 11-18 who love their road bike and are interested in doing some racing. Track cycling/racing will also be encouraged for riders in this program.
If you’d like to hear more about RMCC’s Road Warrior Race Program, please join us for the parent and rider info night. If you are a returning rider, please email the coach at rmccroadcoach@gmail.com to get a code to register.
Program information:
This program is for athletes who would like to learn basic road race cycling skills and gain fitness in a fun, challenging, safe and supportive atmosphere. The Road Warrior program teaches skill development, group riding, race tactics, fitness and safety. From time trials, to crits to classic road races-we will teach these youth how to ride and race! The Road Warriors program is for athletes who are keen to challenge themselves and have fun! This is not a program for beginner riders; riders should already be capable of mounting, dismounting and know the basics of biking.
This program will have 2 weeknight practices. Riders in this program will also be encouraged to ride track at the Calgary Velodrome once a week.
