Love riding? Always looking for the next challenge?
For experienced riders aged 11-18, AMP is a mixed bag of Enduro, XC and DH mountain biking. Riders will need to be in shape, have strong fundamental skills, and have an intrinsic desire to push their limits.
Program information
RMCC’s All Mountain Program (AMP) is more structured than the RMCC Youth Revolution and is focused on all aspects of mountain biking. AMP is geared for riders who have been in RMCC programs for a minimum of two or three years and are always searching for that extra bit of speed or constantly looking to get air off anything they can! Riders who have not previously been a part of an RMCC program will need to be vetted to ensure AMP is a good fit for them.
Most sessions will take place at the Canmore Nordic Centre on all trails, but some sessions could take place, on other trails in and around the Bow Valley.
Races:
AMP also is an introduction to Enduro Racing. AMP coaches will be supporting AMP riders at races in and around the province.
Coaches: AMP is led by Head Coach Kevin Eaton and a team of NCCP and PMBIA-certified coaches who have a wealth of coaching, racing, and riding experience.
Please Note:
Pre-requisites include a high level of both fitness and fundamental mountain bike skills.

Road Warrior 6 week add on: May 1 – June 10
This program is for riders in other programs or sports (AMP, Rampage, Triathletes, Swimmers, Speed Skaters etc) who would benefit from training on a road bike, with other riders, in addition to their other training. This program is once a week for 6 weeks
Monday: 5:30 – 7:30 pm Canmore – location tbd by coach on night. The coach will set a schedule for riders so they know where to meet for each night of road riding. (locations around Canmore, Legacy Trail and 1A). These athletes will hopefully participate in the Canmore Road Race in June. (please email rmccroadcoach@gmail.com)
Cost: $200 + RMCC membership/insurance (includes coaching at the Canmore road race)
**IMPORTANT: IF you think you are going to do more than one sanctioned race this summer in Alberta (road, XC or cyclocross) then please go to the ABA site and get your ABA race license first before signing up for this program and your RMCC membership. Then send me a message at admin@rundlemountaincyclingclub.com to get a discount code for your registration so you are not charged twice for insurance.
Please note: race entry fees are in addition to the program fee.
As RMCC provides a financial subsidy to the program fee, AMP riders are required to wear their RMCC AMP jersey at races. We are stoked to have a custom-designed RMCC AMP team jersey! The jersey is $60 and is mandatory for all AMP riders.
Volunteer Requirement & Bond:
AMP is subsidized by RMCC – parents of AMP riders are required to volunteer 12 hours per athlete in the program with RMCC events and activities to make this subsidy possible. A volunteer bond of $300 is required to register for the program. Please prepare a cheque post-dated for October 1, 2024 and pass on to the AMP Head Coach at the parents mandatory meeting (date tbd). If you meet the volunteer requirements, RMCC will destroy or return your cheque. Your athlete will NOT BE ABLE to ride until this cheque has been handed in.
If you do not complete your volunteer hours by the end of the year, your child will not be granted early registration the following year and will be put at the bottom of the waitlist.
The volunteer requirement for parents/guardians of AMP riders may be satisfied by participating in one of the items below:
-
- RMCC Executive, Event Organizer, or Committee Position
- Volunteer required number of hours at any of the club volunteer opportunities (specifically at the Casino, bike swap, and RMCC road or CX race…as these are the events that help subsidize the AMP program). Helping to shuttle riders on Bragg Creek days or on Saturday long rides that are not at the Nordic Centre will also count toward volunteer hours
- Road Race volunteer sign up: volunteersignup.org/HYY3E
- Canada Cup and Alberta Cup volunteer sign up: https://volunteersignup.org/M4H8K
- Cyclocross volunteer sign up: https://volunteersignup.org/B4BH7
For athletes to receive any additional reimbursements (Race Subsidies, Youth Race Fund, etc.) from RMCC, the volunteer requirements must be completed in full.
