Want to join us for two days of getting your shred on?
The downhill camps have been so popular … and so much fun … that we are offering two locations to choose from this year!
We are super-stoked for more skill development fun with two men’s Downhill Camps this season! The camps are designed for intermediate to advanced XC riders that haven’t done much, or any, bike park riding and want to see what downhill is all about. RMCC Coach Tracey Gage will take riders through the basics of downhill to help riders gain some key DH skills including:
- Making good line choices
- Body position and braking skills for descending
- Riding downhill-style stunts including trail features and drops
- Bringing bike handling skills and confidence to the next level
- And helping riders loosen up and be more playful on their bike!
All of this will be done on downhill trails in the bike park that are an appropriate level for the group. We had a blast at last year’s camp and look forward to doing it again this year, so come on and join us!
Ride More Discount
Participants in the DH Camp can also take advantage of our Ride More Discount for registering for multiple programs this year! Email us for the discount code before registering and get ready to ride more!
Riders registering for this camp should be confident on their bike and be proficient with braking, riding in control and riding uneven terrain. Riders should have several seasons of riding experience and must be comfortable on trails like the Highline, or Soft Yogurt, EKG and Coal Chutes at the Canmore Nordic Centre, for example. Feel free to drop us a line if you are unsure if this programs would be suitable for you.
All participants require a full suspension mountain bike (either a trail or all-mountain bike with 6 inches travel, or an enduro or downhill bike) that is in good working condition, a full face helmet and bike gloves. Knee pads and elbow pads are also required. Participants must have flat pedals and flat soled shoes. Come prepared for all weather conditions, as we will not let the rain stop us.
