Lift assisted riding! Skill Development weekend at Panorama!
This mountain bike weekend program will focus on skills that will help you be a more confident, technical and skilled rider. Riding at Panorama Resort will give us access to runs with endless corners, technical terrain, fun features, pumps and jumps that will allow us to focus on our range of motion, bike handling skills and skills progression in a fun and supportive environment. Lift access runs are not just for those wanting to become downhill riders. This resort offers the opportunity to gets lots of practice and take your riding to the next level, making you more skilled and comfortable on your local trails.
- Making good line choices
- Body position and braking skills for descending
- Riding downhill-style stunts including trail features and drops
- Bringing bike handling skills and confidence to the next level
- And helping riders loosen up and be more playful on their bike!
All of this will be done on downhill trails in the bike park that are an appropriate level for the group. We had a blast at last year’s camp and look forward to doing it again this year, so come on and join us!

Riders registering for this camp should be confident on their bike and be proficient with braking, riding in control and riding uneven terrain. Riders should have several seasons of riding experience and must be comfortable on trails like the Highline, or Soft Yogurt, EKG and Coal Chutes at the Canmore Nordic Centre, for example. Feel free to drop us a line if you are unsure if this programs would be suitable for you.
All participants require a full suspension mountain bike (either a trail or all-mountain bike with 6 inches travel, or an enduro or downhill bike) that is in good working condition, a full face helmet and bike gloves. Knee pads and elbow pads are also required. Participants must have flat pedals and flat soled shoes. Come prepared for all weather conditions, as we will not let the rain stop us.
